I want to welcome Ka’u Anamei to the Ka’u Blog! She is a delightful young lady living and schooling in Ka’u. Being a teenager and living in Hawaii I hope that her writings will bring a new and fresh perspective to life here in Ka’u. I hope you enjoy her contributions here at the Kau Hawaii Blog!!!
Aloha Everyone,
Please welcome Aaron (Ka’u Aaron) to the Ka’u Blog. Aaron is a very happy and well adjusted guy who I think fits right in here with our lifestyle. He appreciates all living things around him and I am very happy to have met him. He will be writing about things in the Ocean View area and he will be writing about senior citizen concerns and events at the senior center. His first article will be published today. I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I have.
Ka’u Dave

Welcome to the Kau Web’s, Kau Hawaii Blog!!!
My name is Kau Dave and I am the owner and administrator of the Kau Web. The Kau Web is a website designed for, and presented to the residents of Kau. I started The Kau Web out as a list of Internet resources and a place where local businesses and organizations can have their website links posted. Then I added the forum so the residents of Kau can have a place that they can discuss the issues that affect Kau. And they can do it anonymously. And now I have added the Kau Hawaii Blog to the website. The official URL of the blog is: http://www.kauweb.com/kau-hawaii-blog. But to make it easy for everyone you can use www.kaublog.com as well. And I have some volunteers who have agreed to write about current events all around Kau.
So let me introduce you to Kau Jason. He is an intelligent local resident who wants to make a contribution to Kau. He is doing this of his own free will and without compensation. He will be the major contributor to the blog. He will be writing about local current events. This may include political, social, real estate and business events. Please welcome him to the Kau Web and please feel free to contact him and tell him what you would like him to cover around the area. I am sure he will appreciate the suggestions. You may also see some submissions by Practical Magic. Practical Magic will be writing about some of the local goings on in Kau but wishes to remain anonymous. Please welcome Practical Magic to our family of contributors!
In addition I have asked our new Council Person Brittany Smart to contribute. Brittany has agreed to make occasional contributions. And of course I will write something occasionally as well.
You are welcome to comment on any article published here. I have allowed anonymous comments and I have made it so you don’t have to register in order to comment. So please feel free to do so. One thing I ask is that you refrain from using cuss words and personal attacks. Jason and I will either not publish or delete comments that use cuss words and/or contain personal attacks.
One last comment. Please be aware that I alone bear the entire cost, both financial and administrative with my own time, of the Kau Web. There is no business funding this website and I have no political motivations. So any opinions I may express are my own. The same goes for all volunteer authors. I have given them full artistic license to write what they want to write about here. I have no influence over their subject matter nor their opinions. This website is my way of giving something to the residents of Kau. It is a labor of love for me. I hope you use it and I welcome all comments and suggestions. You can e-mail me anytime at kaudave @ kauweb.com
Mahalo!
