Hi All, My husband and I are just closing on a lot in Waiohinu (South Pointe) and are looking for a builder.

1. Does anyone have any suggestions?

2. Also, try not to lol with this question, but do most people living in that area have heat or air conditioning or is it even necessary? We've stayed there about 4 times and the two homes we've been used fans and open/shut windows to control temp.

3. If you had to do it all over again, what features would you put in a home or discard if building again?

To answer your questions:

1. I do not have any direct experience with any builders out here. Sorry, but I cannot recommend any.

2. You won't need air or heat out here. However, make sure you have windows that open wide for the breeze to come thru.

3. I would really like a larger lanai at my place. We are going to build out a much larger one some day. Also, the wind gets blowing pretty good I would make sure you have a decent wind break so you can sit outside and not be too bothered when the winds are blowing hard.
